A
Word from your Section Chair
By Gordon
Ayotte,
ASQ CQE, Section Chair
Our
sixth event of the season covered Quality tools by
François Pageau who did a wonderful presentation on the
capabilities of
a process and how to calculate them.
My Quality tools heading: Stratification - the seventh and final tool
in the 7 Basic Quality tools; separates the data into meaningful
subsets that allows to see differences where it otherwise was not, who
has not heard a supplier or an operation manager say that on average it
meets the spec, where in fact we have shipment or shifts that are above
the spec and some below, come and find out how to organize data to
reveal where the issues really lie and not be mislead with the overall
picture.
We are always interested in your comments and feedback how your ASQ
section can serve you better so please do not hesitate to contact us.

me your feedback by e-mail

By David
Tozer,
Ph.D., ASQ CQE and SSBB, Education & Audit Chair
Having ASQ certification gives you an edge in
the market
and can significantly increase your income.
ASQ Certification often leads to higher paying employment. The money
invested in education and certification increases chances of finding

take the section-sponsored refresher courses, and spend at least twice
as much time as spent in the classroom on self-study, have an 80%, or
better, chance of passing the examination on the first attempt.
