our 60th anniversary, Jean-Pierre has prepared a booklet, which will be
distributed to all participants, describing the last decades of our
section. In addition, he will present a brief overview of recent years,
compelling stories, stories that have shaped our Section.
Utilizing the World Café meeting style, Mrs. Fisk will engage participants in rich dialogue around some of the most important questions they face as quality professionals:

Jean-Pierre
specializes in Quality Assurance within the operational area.
Currently, he is a Project Coordinator, Quality Engineering at la
Société de transport de Montréal (STM)
where he put it in place and coordinate a program of internal audits
based concepts of QUALImètre and les 'Grands Prix quebecois
de la Qualité’. He also coordinates other projects
and acted as a consultant in quality systems. For over twenty years, he
devoted himself exclusively to developing Quality Assurance systems and
activities to improve quality with recognized companies such as STM,
Marconi Canada and Canadair. Brenda
Fisk
Brenda Mary
Fisk has 37 years of professional experience in software quality
assurance/quality control and project management experience. She
specializes in increasing customer satisfaction through continuous
improvement, promoting in-house use of software quality techniques in
day-to-day operations. Brenda specific strengths include analytical and
presentation skills, problem solving techniques, technical writing,
database administration; applying quality assurance principles to
day-to-day environments and has a track record of successfully
completed projects. Brenda has 3 ASQ certifications; CQIA, CQPA and
CQA. |

même qu’au peuple Haïtien. Que le
Québec, le Canada ainsi que toute la communauté
internationale viennent en aide à tous les survivants.
Revenons à Montréal si vous le voulez. As you know, we are celebrating our 60th anniversary this year and we have prepared for you a special event this January. Members and non-members are welcome to this special event as it will be a great opportunity to network and to learn more about ASQ and our Section. |

Word from your Section Chair
Here we
are moving into 2010 which will see the
ASQ Montreal Section 401 celebrating its 60th year anniversary, please
do not miss this event which will be a great opportunity to come and
learn about the history of ASQ in Montreal.
We all know of the challenges that last year brought and according to various forecasts 2010 is likely to have it’s share of challenges as well. One way to help yourself meet these challenges is by expanding your circle of influence and networking opportunities which ASQ offers. Some of the areas/topics we presented last year: Financial Tools, Change Management, Risk Management, and discussed Working with Numbers; Pareto, Check Sheets, Histogram, Working with Ideas; Brainstorming, Fishbone, Force Field and some we are planning to present this year: Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Supply Chain. For those considering a career as a Quality Professional not only I encourage you to join as a member but you should also consider taking courses and/or obtaining certification from ASQ in order to get recognition for your expertise and qualifications. We are always interested in your comments and feedback how your ASQ section can serve you better so please do not hesitate to contact us. Please come and join us for great evenings of learning’s and networking. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. |
